Applications of NSP-3 Molecular Sieve:

It is used for removal of mercaptan of natural gas and carbon dioxide of liquefied natural gas.

Natural gas is a mixture of hydrocarbon gases as the main component, long accompanied by CO2,H2S and other non-hydrocarbon gases, CO2,H2S and other acidic gases will lead to corrosion of equipment and pipelines, and the existence of CO2 will lead to low calorific value of natural gas.  In addition, LNG (liquefied natural gas) raw material CNG (compressed natural gas) must be removed before liquefaction, such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and other impurities, to avoid crystallization in the cryogenic process clogging pipelines and corrosive gas corrosion of pipelines and equipment.  Carbon dioxide can easily form dry ice during liquefaction, clogging pipes. Therefore, high CO2 content in CNG must be removed before it can be prepared into LNG.
