    Application of Nano silica powder

Nano-manufacturer (aka. Technology Co. Ltd. summarized specific applications of Nanosilica after years exploring Nano-powders.
    Plastic
Nano-silica Light-transmissive with a smaller particle size. This can make plastics dense. When silica is added to polystyrene, it improves the film's transparency, strength and toughness, as well as its waterproofing and anti-aging capabilities.

    Rubber
Rubber is an excellent elastomer that has good stretch, but its overall performance isn't satisfactory. Carbon black is added to rubber to improve its strength, wear resistance, aging resistance, and durability. Carbon black is added to rubber, but this results in a black product. The grade of the product is low. In China, nano-SiO2 is a material that has been used to produce a new generation rubber products. These products have novel colors and are of excellent performance.
When rubber is treated with nano-SiO2, its abrasion and flexural strength, as well as its resistance to aging, are improved. Its color also looks brighter, and color retention is better.
    Dye
Organic dyes may have vibrant colors and strong tinting powers, but they are not as resistant to light, heat, solvents, or migration than inorganics. Addition of nano-SiO2 to organic dyes improves their anti-aging and brightness properties.

    Ceramics
Using nano-SiO2 Instead of adding traditional Nano-additives to ceramics, the particles can be added in two phases. This not only increases the toughness and strength of the ceramic but also its hardness and modulus. The performance is better and the effect is more optimal than traditional Nano
    additives.
By using nano-SiO2 in the composite of ceramic substrates, not only is the density, toughness and smoothness improved, but the sintering temp greatly reduced. The application of nano-SiO2 to ceramic products, such as ceramic filter and corundum ball is also very important.

    Sealant Adhesive
Sealants, adhesives, and other important products are widely used and have many applications. This requires the right conditions in terms of product viscosity (liquidity), curing speed, and cure time. Nano-materials have been used as modifiers in many foreign products. Nano-SiO2 has become the most popular. It is mostly coated with a thin layer of organic material to make nano-SiO2 more hydrophobic, and then added to the sealant. It is formed quickly, i.e., the Nano-SiOX small particles form a mesh structure that inhibits colloids from flowing, speeds up the curing, and enhances bonding. A small nano-SiO2 size increases both the sealing and the impermeability.

    Glass Product
The FRP materials are light, have high strength and corrosion resistance but have poor wear resistance. Scientists use ultrasonic dispersion to add nano-SiO2 into the gelcoat resin. They then compare the performance of the gelcoat with and without the nano-SiO2. nano-SiO2 Wear resistance has increased 1 to 2 fold. Nanoparticles are grafted and bonded to organic polymers, increasing the toughness and impact resistance of the material. Heat resistance is greatly improved as well, as mentioned above.

Main Application Areas of Silica Powder

    What is silica?

Silica powder can be made from natural quartz, fused silica and others. as raw materials. They are then processed through multiple processes, such as grinding and precision classification. The most popular products are fused silica powder and crystalline silicone powder. Micropowders and spherical silicon micropowders are two examples.

Silica powder has a wide range of applications.

Crystalline silica is used primarily for copper clad laminations in refrigerators, air conditioners, and household appliances. The majority of copper clad laminates found in smart phones and tablet computers, as well as air conditioners and washing machine, are made from fused silica. The spherical silica powder, which is one of many epoxy plastic molding materials, has exceptional characteristics, including high fluidity and low stress. The filling rate for spherical silica powder is much higher than that of angular silica powder. This allows you to reduce copper clad laminations and epoxy plastic mold compounds. The coefficient of linear extension is used most often in high-end copper laminates like aerospace, 5G communications and epoxy plastic packaging materials that are large-scale integrated device packaging such as smart phone and wearable devices.

Copper Clad Laminate - Application of silica powder

It is important to add performance fillers to copper clad laminate's production formula to increase heat resistance and reliability. Silica powder is widely used as a filler in the copper-clad laminate industry because it has many advantages, including heat resistance, linear expansion coefficient, dielectric properties, and dispersibility within resin systems.

Epoxy Molding Compound - Application of silica powder

A molding compound that is composed of epoxy resin as matrix resin and high-performancephenolic resin curing agent. Silicon powder can be used as filler. The epoxy molding compound composition consists of 60-90% filling rate.

Features and Main Applications of Silica Aerogel

The main features of silica Aerogel

Silica aerogel's unique structure gives it the properties of high heat insulation and low sound transmission. Water glass is a rational choice when making silica jelly. Water glass is an alkali silicate made from silicon dioxide, alkali oxides and water. It is also known by the name sulphuricine. Water glass can be classified into two types by the alkali metallic, which are potassium water glass or soda water glasses. This stage will show you how to prepare silica aerogels using low-cost silicon sources.

    Silica aerogel's main purpose

    1. Thermal insulation

The most common application for silica gel in thermal insulation is Silica aerogel is thermally conductive at a level below 0.02W/(m*k), which is lower than air. Silica aerosol has the highest thermal insulation properties in the current process. It can be used for national defense, industry, scientific, research, etc., in particular in the fields navigation and aerospace. It can also serve as a pipeline insulation. , Insulation glass for refrigeration, heat insulation glass for clothing, heat insulation glass for heat.

    2. Catalyst and catalyst

Silica gel's strength and heat transfer can be continually improved through research and development. This can allow silica aerogel to be used in catalyst carriers and catalysts. Organic fusion of SiO2 & TO2 or cohydrolysis SiO2 & T metal alkoxide can produce TO2-SiO2 Aerogel. It can increase the specific surface area and adsorption efficiency of silica aerogel.

    3. Acoustic delay

Because silica gel is porous, it transmits sound in its pores. There will be significant energy loss at this point, which decreases the sound wave amplitude and slows down sound speed. Aerogels can also transmit very little in solid materials. This silica aerogel, which is based on silica, has a high speed and a large acoustic interference propagation range. It also has the benefits of corrosion resistance as well as aging resistance and high temperature resistance. Silica aerogel can now be used in ultrasonic instruments, acoustic instruments, soundproof windows.

What Advantages does Spherical Silica Powder Have?

What is Silica Powder and How Does It Work? Quartz powder (or silica) is made from quartz (natural quartz, fused quartz), by crushing, picking up, cleaning, acid treating, crushing, fine grinding, classification, and iron processing to meet the requirements for powder.
Silica is a form of silicon oxide. Its chemical formula is SiO2, and it is the most common type of quartz found in nature. Silica is the major component of sand. Silica, which can be formed as a variety of mineral compounds or synthetic products, is one of the most complex materials. fused-quartz, silica, aerogel, and vapor silica are just a few examples.
It is used as a structural material, microelectronics (as a electrical insulator), and in components of the food and pharmaceutical industries.

    What is Spherical Silica Pulp?
Spherical quartz dust has many advantages including a smooth surface and large specific surface area. It also has stable chemical properties.
First, the spherical powder is fluid and evenly mixed into a resin film. The resin addition volume is low and the quartz powder filling is large. The mass fraction can exceed 90.5%. The lower the quartz powder filling, the lower its thermal conductivity. Additionally, the thermal expansion coefficients of plastic sealing materials are smaller. The closer they are to monocrystal silica thermal expansion coefficient, the better electronic components can be produced.
Second, the stress in spherical powder can be 60% lower than that of angul powder. Furthermore, the stress concentration of plastic seals made from spherical Quartz powder is the lowest, while its strength is the greatest. Finally, spherical powder has a smooth surface, a small friction coefficient, low wear, and a longer service life.

What is Spherical Silica Powder Used For?
Mainly used to make electronic packages. Substrat, plastic sealing material, lead frame, and solder are the main materials used in electronic packaging. Because plastic packaging is low-cost and easy to make, it has seen rapid development. Plastic packaging now accounts for over 95% of all integrated circuit market. EMC (epoxy plastic packaging) is the mainstay of integrated circuit packaging. More than 95% use epoxy plastic sealing.

The main requirements for integrated circuit packaging are low stress, low moisture, low alpha radiation, dip resistance, reflow weldability, and low humidity. Inorganic fillers must be used in epoxy resin. At present, quartz powder is the most common inorganic ingredient. Microelectronics industry is rapidly developing, and large-scale, very big-scale integrated circuits are more difficult to manufacture. Quartz powder is used as an important support for EMC materials. Not only does it conform to specific scope requirements, but also meets the high purity, low-content radioactive elements demands, especially when it comes to the shape of the particles.

Spherical silica powder has a great shape and can be used to meet the technical requirements of high end integrated circuits. It can significantly reduce the thermal extension coefficient of plastic sealing material, reduce it's dielectric constant and reduce stress. Also, it can increase the rigidity. Tensile resistance, compression resistance, weather resistance. Fire resistance.

Spherical quartz can be used for electronic packaging. However, it can also widely used in high-grade cosmetics, high precision ceramics, precision grinding optical devices, and other electronic components.

    What is Fumed Silica?

Fumed silica can be described as a fine white powder that is made by hydrolysis of silicon hailide at high temperature under an oxyhydrogen flame. It is a form of amorphous silicone dioxide product. The primary particle sizes are between 740nm to 200-500nm. Aggregate particle sizes range from 200-500nm to about 200-500nm. Specific surface area is 100400m2/g. High purity and SiO2 content is not below 99.8%. There are a number of silica-hydroxyl groups in vapor phase silicaaggregates with untreated surfaces. One is an isolated, unperturbed free hydroxyl molecule; the other is bonded silyl group that is linked and forms hydrogen bonds to one another. The vapor-phase silica aggregates have the untreated surfaces. They contain multiple -Oh compound, which can easily form an uniform three-dimensional network structure in the liquid system (hydrogen bond). This three-dimensional network structure, called the hydrogen bond, is formed by external force (shear, electric, etc.). This three-dimensional network structure (hydrogen bond), with an external force (shear, electric, etc.), will be destroyed. The medium will thin out, and the viscosity will drop. When the external force vanishes, the three dimensional structure (hydrogen Bond) will revert to its original state.

Fumed silica, one of the most valuable new inorganic material, is one. It has a small particle diameter, high specific surface area, strong surface adhesion, large surface energy and chemical purity. Its high stability, reinforcing effects, thickening and thixotropy make it an irreplaceable choice in many unique fields.
It is widely used as an additive, catalyst carrier, decolorizing agent or matting agent in various industries.

Fumed silica is primarily composed of two types of "sex", hydrophilic or waterphobic. You can use physical, chemical and mechanical methods to alter the fumedsilica interface or surface. This includes surface energy, surface wetability, reaction characteristics, surface structure, functional groups and surface wettability. This allows it to be used in modern new material and new technology as well as the requirements of developing new technology.

Silica nanoparticles have many uses. They are used as additives in rubber, plastic manufacturing, reinforced fillers for concrete, and as a platform for biomedical purposes such as drug delivery or therapeutic diagnostics.

    What is Silica?
Silicon (or simply silicon) is one of the many chemical elements found in the earth’s crust. It can be found in silicate (SiO4) or silicon dioxide (silica and SiO2).
It is common to use silicon in industry. The oxide form of silicon is often used in biomedical and industrial applications. SiNPs are rare because of their unique properties. These include ease of synthesis and surface modification, strong mechanical property, and relatively inert chemical structure. They have been used in biological materials for many decades.
Silica can be found in two forms, crystalline and amorphous. Although they share the same molecular structure, these two basic forms of silica have very different structural arrangements. Crystalline silica features a regular lattice arrangement while amorphous is more irregular. Crystalline silica can be found in many forms. Alpha-quartz is the most well-known, which can then be converted to b –quartz, squamous, or quartzite by heating. Porosils are porous crystalline silicon, which is also known as porous silica. All porosils come from synthetic materials.
Because of their rare properties (high surface area, high pore volume and adjustable pore size), silica and Mesoporous Silicon are excellent candidates for controlled drug delivery. There are three main types of amorphous silicon: natural, byproducts, and synthetic. Amorphous silica has been considered a promising candidate to carry genes and perform molecular imaging. This is due to its high-tunable biocompatibility as well as stability. It is used in dental fillers, dental implants, dietary supplements and catheters.

    What uses is nanosilica?
Nano silica can be used to modify cement concrete's dispersion, plasticity, and thus increase its impermeability, enhanced permeability, frost resistance and reduce hydration heat. It also prolongs the service life.
It can be used as a vitrification agent, strengthening agent, adhesive, and glue of ceramics, enamels and glazes. It can also be used to make engineering-grade ceramics and other refractories.
Use nanocomposite materials modifier as an inorganic adhesive at high temperature. Also used to strengthen, mold and fill rubber/polymer material. Additionally, it can be used in a variety of resin engineering material; High-quality FRP packing that is corrosion-resistant.
It can be used to cement seal an oil well or as an under-ground seal and reinforcement material.
Use for special purposes, including lamp paint, lubricating oil, thickener or steel dehydrogenate and inner wall paint sensitive material. For solar cells and power cell energy storage.

    Is nano-silica toxic?
Exposed to silica, particularly crystalline, has been extensively researched.
Studies have shown that workers are exposed to crystalline silicona at work, which can lead to silicosis. This is a fibrotic lung condition that can also be caused by other diseases such as lung cancer, emphysema, or tuberculosis.
Amorphous silica used to be considered less toxic than crystalline. Recent research has shown that SNPs that are amorphous have toxicity levels similar to crystalline particles. SiNPs' physicochemical and crystallinity also produce different levels of toxicity in vitro as well as in vivo. Consider safety and possible adverse effects, especially those that may affect the immune system.

    What is monocrystalline silicon?

What is Monocrystalline Silicon? According to the directions of crystals, monocrystalline and polycrystalline silica are divided.
Monocrystalline Silicon is usually a substance made by an arrangement of silicon elements. Once the molten, elemental silicon has solidified, silicon atoms can be arranged in many crystal nuclei to form a diamond lattice. These nuclei can grow into grains of the same plan direction and form monocrystalline silicon.

    Monocrystalline silicon properties
Monocrystalline silicon exhibits quasi-metallic properties and low conductivity. Additionally, its conductivity rises with temperature and it has considerable semi-conductivity. Intinctual semiconductors are ultra-pure monocrystalline silicone. To ultra-pure monocrystalline silica, trace III An elements like boron can be added to increase conductivity. Likewise, adding trace V An elements (such as phosphorus and arsenic) can enhance the conductivity and create N-type silicon transistors.

How does monocrystalline and multicrystalline silicon differ?
Once the molten elemental silica solidifies, silicon atoms form into many nuclei. Monocrystalline silicon forms if the nuclei are formed into grains that have the same plane. Polysilicon, however, is formed if the nuclei become grains that have different plane directions. There is little difference in the physical properties of polysilicon and monocrystalline silica.
The raw material to make monocrystalline silicon is polysilicon. Polysilicon also serves as the basis for photovoltaic energy generation and solar cells. Monocrystalline silicon may be considered to the most pure substance on the planet. For general semiconductor devices, silicon purity must exceed 6N. For large-scale integrated systems, the requirements are more stringent and silicon purity must be at least 9N. A monocrystalline form of silicon, with purity 12N, is currently being produced.

Why is monocrystalline silica used in
It is used primarily in solar cells. It is the first application of silicon solar cells. This technology has the highest conversion efficiency and mature technology. Silicon solar cells is most commonly used in light-intensive, short-term, or high-labor cost areas like aerospace. Numerous scientific research institutes and manufacturers of monocrystalline silicon batteries have created high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon batteries by using different battery processing technologies and wafer treatment.

How can you create monocrystalline silicon.
Preparation of monocrystalline silicon requires the realization of the transition from polycrystals to single crystals. That is, the atoms of the liquid phase are transformed directly from random to orderly arrangement to symmetrical structures. This is not a complete transformation, but it is achieved gradually through movement at the solid-liquid interface. To realize this transformation, polysilicon needs to undergo transformation from solid to molten and finally to solid crystal silica. It is possible to make monocrystalline silicon out of molten silica. The crucible Czochralski and non-crucible Suspension Zone Melting methods are the most popular. They are called CZ and FZ respectively.
